The Boston Alliance of LGBTQ Youth (BAGLY), is pleased present #FreeBefore11, a fabulous new program for young queer and trans* women! Programming for #FreeBefore11 will happen on the First Friday of every month and is designed for young women to come together, socialize, and build community. We are busy planning group outings, guest speakers, and dinners. Keep an eye out for details regarding each event here on our website, on our FB Page and on our Twitter Page.

This program was born out of a desire from the community to have safe, women-specific spaces for queer and trans* folks in Boston, outside of bars and clubs. The name itself, #FreeBefore11, is reclamation of a ploy used by promoters to fill bars and clubs with (cis and trans) women in order to attract, and profit from male consumers looking to hook-up. We are turning #FreeBefore11 into a designation of safe space for queer and trans* women, free from harassment and objectification. Plus, all of our events will be free to participants.

How are we getting #FreeBefore11 off the ground?  With a Kickoff Event!

Programming will officially start on April 4th, 2014 with a kick-off party from 5:30-8pm at BAGLY's Community Center located at 14 Beacon Street, Boston, on the  3rd floor. We are inviting the entire LGBTQ community, including allies, of all ages, to come celebrate the launch of this new program with us.  Check back on this page and BAGLY's Calendar for updates and future events and happenings!

As always, all BAGLY programming is free from: sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, weapons, pressure, and harassment.
