HIV Counseling & Testing

Offering LGBTQ youth access to a safe and supportive HIV testing option, within a space they occupy, is important to us because it diminishes barriers to regular screening, and increases awareness of HIV status and connection to resources. BAGLY offers on-site HIV Counseling, Testing and Referral at its Boston based program space during regular program hours, Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm.

BAGLY is also able to provide on-site HIV Counseling, Testing and Referral during our annual events: the Halloween Party, BAGLY’s Mini Ball Deluxe and the BAGLY Prom, all held in Boston.  Providing HIV testing services at these events further increases access for LGBTQ youth, many of whom would be otherwise unable to connect with a culturally competent and identity affirming provider.

All counseling and testing sessions are confidential and the test itself is administered anonymously.

Wondering about your risk for HIV?   Think you may want to get tested?  Check out BAGLY’s HIV Fact Sheet and speak with a HEARRT Peer Leader or staff member for more information.
